Full-arch implants
Full-arch dental implants are the most modern and optimal restoration solution for patients missing many teeth or all teeth on the dental arch. The outstanding advantage of this advanced method is that it restores chewing ability and fully re-establishes the smile's aesthetics, something conventional methods like removable dentures cannot fully achieve, thereby improving overall health, transforming appearance and raising quality of life, making it the top choice for people entering middle age. In particular, if you have full-arch implants at a reputable dental clinic, you can be confident of a healthy, beautiful, stable and lasting result — even permanent with proper care!
What Is Full-Arch Dental Implantation? What Methods Are Available?
All-on-X full-arch implants place 4–6 implants at favorable angles in the jawbone as solid anchors to support a restoration of 12–14 teeth above. This restores the dentition for patients missing many teeth, close to losing all teeth or missing all teeth (mostly occurring in middle age or in the elderly).
Currently, the two most common full-arch implant options are All-On-4 and All-On-6.
All-On-4 full-arch dental implants
A solution that places 4 implants in one jaw, commonly used for lower jaw tooth loss. Two middle implants are placed in the front tooth positions and two implants on the sides are placed in the back tooth (molar) positions.
All-On-6 full-arch dental implants
A solution that places 6 implants in the jaw, suitable for people with a very weak jawbone. The doctor places 4 middle implants in the front tooth positions and 2 side implants in the back tooth (molar) positions to support the teeth more firmly.
After the examination, depending on your oral condition, the doctor will advise the optimal implant method.
All-On-X full-arch dental implants
In addition, depending on oral condition, systemic disease, bone quality and the customer's wishes, the doctor may recommend increasing the number of implants on the dental arch to more than 4 or 6: All-on-X.
Depending on your financial situation and specific oral condition, you can discuss with your treating doctor to choose the most optimal method possible.
Who Is Full-Arch Dental Implantation Recommended For?
Full-arch dental implants are considered the optimal solution in cases such as:
You have lost all your teeth and use a removable denture but find it very inconvenient for eating and unnatural in communication.
You have lost many teeth or are about to lose them all, but do not want to use, or feel uncomfortable using, a removable denture.
You still have teeth but suffer from severe periodontitis, with very loose teeth that make chewing difficult.
Outstanding Advantages of Full-Arch Dental Implants
Full-arch dental implants have many outstanding advantages that set them apart from traditional removable dentures, including:
Restores over 90% of chewing ability: Implants integrate firmly into the jawbone, are fixed and bear load well, so they can restore chewing ability to over 90%, helping patients enjoy eating again with nothing getting in the way.
Ensures aesthetics and a radiant smile: Implant restoration techniques keep improving, giving restored teeth that are harmonious and naturally beautiful in both shape and color, so customers can have a confident smile with beautiful teeth.
Minimally invasive: For full-arch implants, the doctor selects favorable areas of bone to place the implants, so the amount of bone grafting or sinus lifting needed is minimal. In addition, you only need 4/6/8 implants rather than 12–14 implants per arch, limiting complex invasive work and saving treatment costs.
Prevents jawbone loss: Implants replace natural tooth roots and keep the chewing function and forces acting on the jawbone. Full-arch implants can therefore prevent jawbone loss caused by tooth loss and reduce the risk of sunken cheeks and facial asymmetry.
Easy to care for like real teeth: Implants are fixed and firm on the jawbone, so you can care for and clean them as easily as real teeth, limiting the risk of oral diseases.
Long-lasting durability: Implants are made of stainless, non-corroding titanium. The abutment and porcelain crown are also made of highly durable materials, so they can last a long time, even permanently with proper care.
Full-Arch Dental Implant Procedure
At Kha Dental the full-arch implant surgery procedure is standardized into the following 6 medically compliant steps:

Step 1
Examination and X-rays

Step 2
Blood tests and the necessary health indicator tests as directed by the doctor

Step 3
Full-arch implant surgery

Step 4
Placement of temporary restoration

Step 5
Follow-up visit

Step 6
Final restoration on implants
Step 1: Examination, X-rays, consultation
The doctor performs a clinical examination, takes your medical history and takes a CBCT scan to assess the condition of the jawbone and the current bone quality.
Step 2: Blood tests and the necessary health indicator tests as directed by the doctor
You have blood tests done right at Kha Dental to check blood clotting, blood sugar levels (if you have diabetes) and other health indicators as directed by your treating doctor.
Step 3: Full-arch implant surgery
The doctor performs the implant surgery.
Step 4: Placement of temporary restoration
After implant placement surgery is completed, you will have a temporary denture fitted while waiting for healing. In some cases, an immediate temporary tooth can be made quickly using digital technology and fitted right after surgery, so you can carry on with daily life and communicate confidently while waiting for the final restoration.
Step 5: Follow-up visit
You need to return for follow-up visits as directed by the doctor to check the degree of wound healing and handle any other oral issues (if any).
Step 6: Final restoration on implants
After about 16 weeks – 6 months, once the implants have biologically integrated with the jawbone, the doctor will fit the porcelain denture on the implants to complete the implant procedure. This phase usually takes 3–5 appointments within 5–14 days depending on each dental condition.
*In cases where the patient has significant bone loss, the treatment process will include an additional bone grafting step before implant placement.
Full-arch implant treatment time
After the implants are placed (20–30 minutes per implant), you will have temporary teeth fitted and may wait about 6 months before the final porcelain restoration (fitting crowns on the implants). At Kha Dental, in many cases the doctor can make an immediate temporary restoration right after implant placement, which not only shortens implant treatment time but also helps you communicate confidently while waiting for the final restoration. This way you will soon have healthy, beautiful teeth for comfortable chewing and good aesthetics. It is especially suitable for overseas Vietnamese returning home for dental work with limited time.
At Kha Dental, customers can complete the entire full-arch implant process and confidently enjoy a radiant smile and a complete life.

Things to Note for Successful Full-Arch Dental Implants
Before treatment
- Have implants as soon as possible after tooth loss to limit jawbone loss and reduce difficulties in implant treatment.
- Choose a reputable implant dental clinic with highly qualified doctors and advanced equipment to ensure a high success rate.
- You should research costs carefully so you can budget well and make sure the process goes as planned.
- Research and choose genuine, high-quality implant materials that are safe for the body and popular worldwide. Say “no” to cheap full-arch implants, which may use low-quality implants, leading to poor osseointegration and affecting chewing health…
- Ask the doctor clearly about cases in which full-arch implants cannot be performed, to avoid harming the jawbone structure.
- Before the implant day, prepare yourself mentally to be relaxed and optimistic, eat well before coming to the clinic, and take the full dose of prophylactic antibiotics as prescribed by your doctor before the implant surgery.
After treatment
- After surgery, you can apply a cold compress to the outside of the cheek or lip where the implants were placed to reduce pain. Limit eating and drinking during the first hour, avoid movement and focus on resting.
- Prefer soft foods that are easy to swallow, and avoid food that is too cold or too hot. Limit biting hard and chewing hard foods.
- Do not touch the implant site directly with your hands, to avoid infection.
- Do not spit, smack your lips or suck on your teeth, and absolutely do not smoke – these are causes that can lead to implant rejection.
- Clean your teeth thoroughly to remove bacteria that attack the implant structure and limit serious oral diseases.
- Return for follow-up visits exactly as scheduled so the doctor can check the implant's integration and promptly detect any abnormal signs (if any).
Frequently Asked Questions About Full-Arch Implants
Patients from provinces and cities outside Nha Trang, or from abroad, can absolutely have full-arch implants. At Kha Dental, the doctors will build a treatment plan suited to each customer's needs, closely follow each treatment stage and apply modern digital technology to shorten implant time as much as possible.
While researching solutions for missing teeth, many customers wonder how much full-arch implants cost and why the price is high. The difference in cost lies in the doctor's skill (the leading factor determining treatment success), whether the implant materials are of guaranteed quality, and whether the clinic has equipment supporting implant surgery…
If you only look for a cheap dental implant address, you risk poor integration of the implant with the jawbone, leading to infection, swelling and pain and eventually implant rejection. Or a poorly skilled doctor may place the implant with incorrect technique and accidentally touch a nerve, causing prolonged bleeding.
Implant surgery can still be performed for older people who often have underlying conditions such as high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, provided blood sugar levels and health condition are well controlled. For the best and safest result, patients should tell the doctor about their medical history, then discuss based on medical knowledge and the doctor's professional advice in line with the customer's wishes and needs to arrive at the most suitable plan.
At Kha Dental, before full-arch implant surgery, customers have blood taken to check that their health indicators meet the surgical requirements and standards, so you can have a safe implant experience and an excellent result.
Compared with removable dentures (which easily fall out, look poor and do not prevent bone loss…), full-arch restoration on implants has many outstanding advantages:
- Restores chewing ability to over 90%, so patients can eat comfortably.
- Prevents jawbone loss, ensuring lasting firmness.
- The final result is even, beautiful, naturally white teeth.
- Implants are as easy to clean as real teeth.
- Implants can last a long time if cared for according to the doctor's instructions.
Absolutely. But to ensure the best restoration result, you need to treat periodontitis first, and only then place implants. Customers should see the doctor promptly to have the severity of periodontitis diagnosed and a suitable treatment – implant plan drawn up.
Full-arch dental implants are the most modern and optimal tooth replacement solution today, comprehensively restoring smile aesthetics and complete chewing function, rebuilding a new set of teeth for those who have unfortunately lost teeth, restoring a confident, radiant smile and chewing ability like real teeth, and contributing to overall oral health and to optimizing mental and physical well-being, thereby improving quality of life especially in middle age.
