Step 1: Digital tooth impression (scan)
Patients no longer have to endure the discomfort of traditional tray impressions; instead, a digital impression is taken with the CEREC Omnicam using a small color camera. Accurate 3D images with natural color make scanning easier, more intuitive and more comfortable than ever.
Step 2: Design
CEREC software provides standard, unique restoration templates, saving time and delivering the final design for the fastest possible restoration. The doctor or technician designs the virtual restoration (crown, bridge, inlay/onlay) on the computer. The machine then fabricates the restoration suited to each treatment case.
Step 3: Milling/Cutting
The CEREC milling and cutting machine and the CEREC software combine perfectly. The extremely accurate milling/cutting cycle delivers highly aesthetic results, precise margins and sharp fissures.
Step 4: Firing/Finishing
After milling, the restoration is placed in the EP3010 furnace. This new technology shortens firing time and is easy to operate, allowing glazing in just 9 minutes. The restoration is then polished by the technician to achieve a natural color.
